KC's BIO
kc@1015theriver.com

I was born in Joliet, Ill. Some of my friends were 'extras' in the movie 'The Blues Brothers' as some scenes were filmed right in the city.

Then at age 13, our family moved to New England, a great town in western Massachusetts. It was right after high school that I attended the Connecticut School Of Broadcasting, in Hartford at the time. Then I began a 30 year Radio career in New Hampshire. It was in Laconia, it was absolutely beautiful, yet to this day I never learned to ski!

Then after another stint in Maine, I returned to Springfield, MA. radio and did mornings and afternoons between two different stations. One of them is where I  met my wonderful wife, Carmen. She worked in the same building, and those good sparks flew right from the start! We had a boy and a girl in the 90's, and moved to Toledo in 1997, had another girl in 2001. Their ages are 16, 11, and 6 with our son being the oldest. Guess we've been on the five year plan. As far as my career, I have now found a radio home and city me and my family can stay in for a long time to come!

As you listen...
I'll be here for you M-F from 3-7pm. I'll be around on the weekends too. My goal is that you will enjoy ending your workday with us, as well as driving home with your favorite songs.
...a little more and what's next?
I am the youngest of three. My late sister was the oldest. We lost her in 2000 which is why I' support cancer research. My older brother practices law in Mass.

Some more about me...
Born and raised in the midwest, I learned to like thunderstorms early on.(what other choice is there?) I had a great childhood on Mayfield Ave. in Joliet, Ill. Also learned to just 'Luv the Chicago Cub's'. I had a baseball glove in my hand at age 5, and always took it to those many wonderful trips to Wrigley Field. I played Little League Baseball ( look for a team picture from 1967 soon) and CYO Basketball.

We did all the classic vacations. Disneyland, and Universal Studios in California where we drove by 'The Munsters' house (now painted and used on 'Desperate Housewifes') and went inside Grampa's Laboratory which was nowhere near the house.

A couple years later, we saw the first moon landing from the Doral in Miami, Florida. I swear I saw Jackie Gleason there. I was alone at a vending machine when he walked by. I said "Mr. Gleason, YOU'RE the greatest". He paused for a second, and said "thanks kid". I could'nt run fast enough back to the room to tell all. Anyway, to this day I still keep in touch with many dear friends from the old gang.

Summer Shades...
Sunday 07-20-2008 10:54pm ET

That vacation week has arrived, and all too fast! I'll be back on July 28th and I hope it's a good week for you!

We were close to driving back east for family, friends, and a day at the ocean.

However, the price of gasoline will keep us here where the sands at Maumee Bay and many other places are just as warm and inviting!

Before we traded a few gallons of fuel for a few pair of sunglasses, I found an article about today's shades and what we need the most from them.

Wanted to share it with you, just click the "Sunglasses" link below.
