Mary Beth's BIO
Mary Beth Zolik has been part of morning radio in Toledo for over 25 years.   In the fall of 2005, she was inducted into the Ohio Broadcasters Hall of Fame, along with her now happily retired partner, Jack Mitchell.  And now Mary Beth looks forward to many more years of morning radio fun with Rick Woodell!

Although Mary Beth grew up in Detroit, it is Toledo that feels like home, especially since she and her husband, Terry, are raising their family here.  Their children, Tara, Derek and Cullin were all born here and are all in school now.  With grade school, high school and college tuitions all looming, it's no wonder Mary Beth looks forward to many more years working on 101.5 the River.  "Miles to go before I sleep!"

When not transporting her busy children hither and yon, Mary Beth enjoys napping, a good long walk, reading anything and everything and playing with the family dogs...oh, and more napping.

"Getting up at 4am is the hardest part of what I do.  But I love what I do and feel so blessed.  My husband says the only person who has a better job than mine is the woman who reads the lottery balls on TV!"

Rick's BIO

Rick Woodell was born and raised in Macon, Georgia, attended the community college there and eventually the University of Georgia before embarking on a 30 year broadcasting career. Rick has worked in Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, and Texas and been a part of the programming of radio stations in Idaho, New Mexico, Colorado and California.

Before moving to Toledo, Rick was a highly rated morning show host in Greenville, South Carolina but was most recently co-host of "Talk of the Town," a 30 minute television travel show for Charter Communications that covered Georgia, North and South Carolina.

Rick and his wife Carla moved to Toledo so he could rekindle his love for waking up listeners and entertaining them every morning.  Rick and Carla have 2 "kids" (one is Siamese...Cyan, 6 pounds of furry fury and the other, Grayson, a loveable Gray stray from the Humane society) and Rick's son, Alex, graduated college in South Carolina this past June.

Rick listened to Mitch and Mary Beth online from South Carolina during Mitch's last few months.  He also visited twice before arriving to stay.  Rick says, "As soon as the television show wrapped production, I knew that returning to radio is what I wanted to do. Listening to Mary Beth, I felt the transition would be an easy one. She is simply wonderful, and that comes across on the air. People know her...people trust her; I'm looking forward to many years of fun on the radio with Mary Beth!"

Rick's love for charity work and civic pride keeps him active in the communities he's lived in over the years. "As my wife and I travel the area and learn our way around, we're amazed at the eagerness of the people in Toledo to welcome newcomers. It feels like home already."

Bad Smells

Dirty Disaster: Sometimes even the most spotless rooms can have problems appearing fresh because of their stale smell and musty odors.
Speedy Solution: If you need to quickly clear the air before company comes, change each room's atmosphere in seconds with a single spritz of Febreze Scentstories.
Time Taken: This fix only takes 2 seconds per room, and is a perfect way to start fresh.

Dusty Electronics

Dirty Disaster: Dusty electronics can take the shine out of any room, turning sparkling black and silver surfaces into dull grays.
Speedy Solution: Polish your items with one of these Pledge Multi Surface Clean & Dust Wipes and you'll see your items shine in no time.
Time Taken: 5 seconds per electronic is all you need to make your electronics gleam.

Crammed Fridge

Dirty Disaster: An odor-filled fridge funks up your food and often makes the entire kitchen unpleasant. Sometimes you'll find yourself wanting to go hungry rather than unleash the beast of smells from the refrigerator.
Speedy Solution: Banish bad smells with an Arm & Hammer Fridge Fresh Refrigerator Air Filter. The baking soda absorbs the smells before they start to offend.
Time Taken: 15 seconds per fridge will be plenty of time to attach the filter.

Smelly Trashcan

Dirty Disaster: A smelly trashcan takes the comfort out of any kitchen and should be avoided at all costs. Some stinky items can be avoided by freezing odorous foods until trash day and rinsing cans before disposing. Others, however, like food packaging and cans, can't be helped.
Speedy Solution: Switch out your current bags and trap trashy smells with Glad Odor Shield Tall Kitchen Bags.
Time Taken: 20 seconds per trashcan.

Time Taken: 30 seconds of spraying is all your sticky countertops need.

Speedy Solution: Your stovetop will shine with a few sprays of OxiClean Miracle Foam Grime & Grease Dissolver, which eliminates spatters effortlessly.
Time Taken: 1 minute for four burners is worth it when you can see yourself in your stove.
